NCSHA’s 2011 Annual Awards for Program Excellence boasted 116 entries submitted by HFAs across the country.  The mission of the awards program is to share information about the most successful housing programs, identify industry best practices, recognize exemplary HFA efforts, and encourage HFA innovation. The winning programs, which will serve as models for other HFA programs, were judged on originality, innovation, a proven track record in the marketplace, cost/benefit ratio, and measurable benefits provided to targeted customers. More information about all of the entries and winners can be found here.

“These entries epitomize the innovation and spirit of HFAs. The work these agencies are doing to meet the growing need for affordable housing in their communities deserves to be celebrated,” said NCSHA’s executive director Barbara Thompson.
