On November 24, Treasury and IRS jointly announced the release of the 2009-2010 Priority Guidance Plan.  The Plan contains 315 projects to be completed between July 2009 and June 2010, including guidance on tax-exempt bonds and Housing Credit Exchange program issues, qualified contracts, and utility allowances for sub-metered buildings.

Many organizations, including NCSHA, submitted recommendations for items to be included in the Plan.  The announcement invites the public to continue to provide comments and suggestions on additional guidance throughout the year.  IRS and Treasury will update and republish the Plan during the plan year to reflect additional guidance they intend to publish.

Additional copies of the Plan are available at the IRS website and Treasury’s Office of Public Affairs at (202) 622-2960.
