- January 25, 2012Last night, in his State of the Union address, President Obama called for a loan refinancing program he said would give “every responsible homeowner the chance to save about $3,000 a year on their mortgage” and urged Congress to enact tax reform to reduce corporate tax rates and increase individual tax rates for the wealthy. Obama also reaffirmed his Administration’s commitment to close oversight of financial institutions and consumer protection.
- January 20, 2012Earlier this month, the Obama Administration released its December Housing Scorecard. According to HUD, the housing market has shown some improvement over the past year, but the recovery remains fragile.

- June 10, 2010Each year approximately 3,000 more Vermonters pay too much for their housing and become "cost burdened," according to the 2010 edition of "Between a Rock and a Hard Place," the annual report tracking housing costs and wages. The report, written and researched by Vermont Housing Finance Agency, will be released at a press event on TUESDAY, JUNE 15, at Brookside Village, Morehouse Road, off Mallett's Bay Avenue, Colchester, at 10:30 a.m.
