    Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Secretary Raymond A. Skinner announced the results of its Spring 2010 competitive round for Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and Rental Housing Funds for multifamily rental projects throughout Maryland. Developers of four projects with more than $45 million in total development costs received awards for the new construction of 184 rental units, including 38 units specifically targeting disabled residents.

    The Industrial Commission announced today that the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) has granted conditional commitments for $2.4 million in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) to support the construction or rehabilitation of 177 housing units.

    Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Secretary Raymond A. Skinner has authorized 15 multifamily rental housing projects to receive $33,526,411, including $31.7 million in funding through the federal Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP). TCAP is a component of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and provides additional funding to eligible projects that have already received federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits through DHCD’s traditional competitive application process for rental housing funds.
